Hyperhidrosis
is common to first occur at the onset of adolescence or puberty.
The reason is that during adolescence, hormones are being secreted
at a high rate, causing the release of acetylcoline. This leads
to excessive sweating and perspiration in the armpits, hands, face
and feet.
Hyperhidrosis
during adolescence can be the most embarrassing because not all
teen-agers develop hyperhidrosis and excessive sweating. The embarrassment
of sweating can hinder social development. If you are one of the
unfortunate to develop the disorder, you are in luck. We have developed
a customized product called Maxim® Sensitive. Maxim® Sensitive
has been formulated for sensitive skin and for excessive perspiration
disorders.
How do I apply
Maxim® Sensitive?
Hyperhidrosis
sufferers - Apply Maxim® Sensitive with just a few strokes on
your armpits. If you are a male, it is not necessary to shave your
armpits. Apply Maxim® Sensitive at bedtime. This is when you
armpits are the most dry and you are the most relaxed. Maxim®
Sensitive will absorb into your skin while you sleep. You should
see good results in the morning. Please give Maxim® Sensitive
a full week to work.
Where else can
I apply Maxim® Sensitive
in addition to the armpits?
Hyperhidrosis
patients apply Maxim® Sensitive not only to the armpits, but
to the face as well. You can also use it on your forehead.
We have patients who utilize our standard 12.5%
Maxim® antiperspirant to the face, but it can be irritating.
If you have sweaty hands, we would recommend that you use our standard
Maxim® 12.5% aluminum chloride formula.
An interesting
note about our customers is that they are split about 50/50 for men
and women. We have adolescents as young as 11 years old using our
product.
